Approval and Completion of the Fort Hamer Road PD&E Study

On July 2, 2025, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) approved the State Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for the Fort Hamer Road PD&E Study from Upper Manatee River Road to US 301. This approval officially ends the PD&E Study phase. Manatee County is proceeding with the design and permitting of the project, which are anticipated to be completed in late 2026. At this time, no timeline has been established for right-of-way acquisition or construction, as these project phases are not fully funded.
